Set your route on the ground. Once you're in the air, pftracker uses nothing but your phone's GPS to show altitude, speed, heading, and ETA — even in airplane mode, at 35,000 feet.

This isn't on the Play Store, so it's a direct APK download. Your phone will ask you to allow installs from this source the first time — that's expected. After that, pftracker checks for and installs its own updates.

How it works

Three steps. One of them needs wifi.

Set up on the ground

Pick your route before boarding — enter airports manually or look up your flight number. This is the only step that touches the network at all.

Track in the air

GPS keeps working in airplane mode. No wifi, no cell service — your position, altitude, and ETA update live on the map for the whole flight.

Land, or get interrupted

If the app closes by accident mid-flight, reopening it offers to resume the exact same session right where it left off.

Truly offline

The map ships inside the app. No tiles to download, no server to reach, nothing that can fail to load at 35,000 feet.

Barometric altitude

Reads the phone's own pressure sensor where available, alongside GPS altitude, for a closer match to what the cockpit sees.

Two ways to set a route

Enter departure and arrival airports manually, or look one up by flight number before you board.

Every stat, toggleable

Speed, heading, vertical speed, distance, elapsed time, local time at destination, raw coordinates — show only what you want.

Session resume

An accidental swipe-away mid-flight doesn't lose your track — relaunching picks the same session back up.

Updates itself

No Play Store round-trip. pftracker checks its own GitHub releases and installs new builds on your say-so.
